Lura was the first person I met when I started school in first grade. She was wearing a pretty green dress that set off her red hair perfectly. We became fast friends. We spent most of our high school years playing cards during lunch with Randell Forsyth and Jeremy Barton. We remained friends until her death. Saddly, enventhough I had just talked to her a few weeks before, I still don't know the cause of her passing. I heard her name during the radio obituaries a day or two after her funeral.
